Rule 270 – Scope of this Section

1. For service of the Statement of claim within the Contracting Member States the law of the European Union on the service of documents in civil and commercial matters [Regulation (EU) 2020/1784] and the rules set out in this Section, in particular Rule 271.2 shall apply. 2. For the purpose of Rules 270 to 275 the term Statement of claim shall, where appropriate, mean all originating pleadings in actions referred to in Article 32(1) of the Agreement.
